The right excavator attachments for your task

excavator attachments

Choosing the right equipment for your excavator when you have to perform a specific task is of fundamental importance: it helps to do the job well, to do it quickly and minimizes the risk of errors.

The most common excavator attachments

attrezzature per escavatore

There are different attachments for excavators and if there are so many, it is precisely to best perform the tasks that construction sites may require. This means that the choice of an excavator accessory will affect the extent of the task itself: the better the choice, the better the yield.
The most common excavator accessories are:

– the bucket: a versatile tool, suitable for collecting and moving soil, rocks and other debris
– the demolition hammer: commonly used in demolitions, they are designed to destroy hard (rock or concrete) structures.

Specific attachments for other construction tasks

If bucket and demolition hammer are attachments that cannot be missing on any construction site, there are other attachments that, even if less “famous”, are just as important and specific.

Auxiliary stick extensions: if there were no extensions for the excavator, it would not be possible to reach high heights or depths, thus limiting the efficiency of the excavator. They are perfect during demolition works and in the refinement of slopes, allowing excavation, cleaning and reclamation even on levels far below the support surface of the excavator itself
Hydraulic magnets: Hydraulic magnets play a complementary role on the construction site, because they move ferrous materials, recovering waste and turning them into profit. If you are working on a storage or recycling site, hydraulic magnets are the first selling attachments in mind to use

Attachments that are not installed directly on the excavator arm but on the machine:

Dust control systems for demolition: it is an accessory that is not installed on the excavator arm but which is essential for the safety of the entire construction site. Perfect during demolitions and in the summer, it protects all operators and protects the site machinery from wear caused by dust
Hydraulic motor compressors: useful as an aid in underwater demolition, because they are able to immediately and automatically block the operation of the demolition hammer if any anomaly in the air flow should occur.
